We arrived in Fort William around half four yesterday. You will not be surprised to hear we hobbled into the first pub before checking into our hotel. Almost flooded the place out in bubbles with the amount of muscle soak we poured into the bath!! Headed back out for a celebratory meal and more drinks. But Margo was so knackered everyone was in bed for half ten! Dougie, who has not one bluster or any ill affects whatsoever was ready to party!!! Wee soul had to make do with a wee dram in his bed watching the golf as Margo crashed out beside him.
Thanks for following us, know updates have been pretty unexciting and not as frequent as planned but we will you tell all the details when we see you.......cheerio!!! Xxx

Devils Staircase Conquered
We are now in Kinlochleven after having made it up and over the hill. Staying in a lovely B&B. Feet not the prettiest and legs, hips and knees aching but knowing we are on the last 16 mile stretch tomorrow is helping the pain ease a bit. Kerrs can't wait to meet up with Robcams again tomorrow and paint Fort William red before heading home by train on Sunday.

Day 5 Over!
Sad day today. Robcams had to bow out due to absolute mother of all blisters!!! Kerrs managed the long 21 mile hike over the Black Mount into Kingshouse but legs like jelly and feet gowping!!!!! Robcams settled in Fort William waiting for their buddies with the muscle soak. Kerrs psyching themselves up for Devils Staircase tomorrow......wish us luck xx

Arrived at Tyndrum
Well peeps we have arrived in Tyndrum. Gill buggered by blisters so managed to blag free lift from sweet wee man in tour bus. Ken, Doug, Margo and our 2 amazing doggies made it up over the hill, past Crianlarich and into the Tyndrum Hotel. Hoping we are all fit for our trek accross the moor tomorrow. We have been so lucky with the weather, sun shining but Baltic cold!!!
Can I just say we are having a great time but for any of you who are thinking if doing this, please don't think like Gill and I did that it's a walk in the park because it's defo not!!!! Lots more big climbs and scrambling over rocks than we had prepared ourselves for. But the food and drinks at the end are what's keeping us going. Cheers!

Sorry about last night folks! Couldn't get anything to allow an update. Any how, yesterday was torture!! Managed up over Conic hill fine but streach from Ballmaha to Rowardennan was a right ordeal for Gill & Margo. Almost burst into tears twice!! Made it though and Rowardennan hotel was lovely. Got under way again this morning (last night was thinking of getting a foosin taxi!!) Gills knee is giving her jip and both lassies have blisters but we arrived at the Drovers after making good time. Sitting at bar now playing percussion for the resident band! Will be in our kips soon though. The Kerrs are in "The Hanted Room' dont think we will have trouble keeping though, shattered. Plan to set off early to Tydrum tomorrow. Be back in touch when we arrive. P. S sorry about lack of pics but will resolve issue soon I hope. Ta for all the comments, helping loads folks cx

Hello and welcome
So.......at the moment we are busy getting our backpacks stuffed full of all the "stuff" we might need for our walk. Doug is going to drop our big rucksacks (well Gill & Margo's are anyway!) off at the couriers on Saturday in preparation for us starting first thing on Sunday morning. We have booked the early train from Livi to Milngavie where our adventure (glorified pub crawl) begins. We look forward to getting underway and will be looking out for your comments!!!
